- STILL IN PROGRESS -
The TG Parliament has a long and varied history. It began roughly around two years ago when (I NEED INFORMATION AS I CAN'T REMEMBER ANY DETAILS!! IF ANY OF YOU DO, PLEASE EMAIL ME OR PM ME ON THE WEBSITE SO I CAN FILL THIS IN!)
The first election took place on the 24th of November 2009: and two new parties were evolved. The foremost party led by Barnaby Simmons faced the opposition the Sweety-Boys, which included Timothy Ip and Matthew Hawkes.
Speeches, enthusiastic campaigns and (a little) underhand blackmailing preceeded the voting which ended in Barnaby Simmons taking on the valued and esteemed role of Prime Minister.
Almost in the same year, the TGP law was written up and officialised, and the first ever Cabinet was elected. This included Thomas Shelbourn as Deputy Primeminister, Rosemary Williams as the Tuesday Group librarian, Rebecca Ip as Secretary of State, Matthew Shelbourn as Head of Security and Personal Bodyguard, and Josiah Simmons as Head of the Sports Department, among others.
Also much later the new role of Lord Chief Justice, held by Joshua Hawkes was created when members of the constituency became too unruly.
Cabinet meetings were held and, though formal at first, have over term gradually specialised into excited discussion and calm debate.
It was also at the start of TGP's first term, that the Tuesday Group Newsletter was born and the first issue published, edited by Rebecca Ip.
...I was the Ambassador to the Parents in the first government :P
